Shop the R&W Look 9/28/15

As a longtime collector, lover of old things and general detail-noticer, I've got to tell you, it's pretty thrilling to come across an amazing find in person that I've only ever seen before in an image of a beautifully photographed room. It's almost like validation that the things I love are loved by others too.

However, I realize that not everyone who loves old things are collectors, or have the time to learn about the history of Eighteenth Century English furniture (yes, one of my favorite College classes). So, I thought it might be interesting for me to share a bit of the potential I see when I pull a dusty old ginger jar from the back of a junk store shelf, or a kitschy brass bob from another dealer's storage unit (both of which I've done in the past couple weeks).

I'm going to call this series "Shop the R&W Look," and here's what I have to share today...

This Hand Carved Wooden Stool would be right at home layered with a tray in this boho nook...

This kitschy Midcentury Paul McCartney Bust is so amazing...I think it'd be the perfect addition to a more traditional bust collection like this...

Though the lamps in this next photo are a bit more Midcentury (they're actually Stifle originals I've been lusting after for a while now), I think these Brass Phoenix Lamps are a nice alternative...

I love how the Midcentury barstools in this photo live in an ultra-modern kitchen, you can find an original pair of Arthur Umanoff swivel ones in my Chairish shop @here...

And lastly, I've received many offers on these Italian Gilt Pineapple Sconces, but have had a hard time parting with them. I can't believe this room has the same pair...

Tell me, are there any finds you love but need a little inspiration on how to live with them in your own home?
